Director of Marketing

Brooklyn, NY
Full Time
Senior Manager/Supervisor

Reports to: Chief Development & Communications Officer

As CAMBA approaches its 50th anniversary, our Development & Communications division is entering an exciting new chapter—building on a strong track record and preparing for an ambitious, transformational fundraising campaign that will help shape the organization’s future.

We’re looking for a Director of Marketing to play a central role in that work.

This is an opportunity for a creative, strategic nonprofit marketer who wants both a seat at the table and ownership of the work. The Director will serve as a key thought partner to the Chief Development & Communications Officer, bringing ideas, perspective and strong marketing judgment to CAMBA’s campaigns, then taking the lead in turning those ideas into thoughtful plans and high-quality execution.

The Director leads CAMBA’s two-person Marketing unit, supervising the Social Media & Website Manager, and works collaboratively across the nine-person Development & Communications division. The Director also manages outside designers, photographers, videographers and other creative partners.

We’re looking for someone who can take a strong idea and make it stronger—and then build the story map, content plan, creative approach and production plan needed to make it happen.

About CAMBA

CAMBA is a community of staff, volunteers, clients, donors, neighbors and partners working together to build an inclusive New York City where children and adults have access to the resources and supports they need to thrive. Across more than 180 integrated programs in education and youth development, family support, workforce development, health, housing and legal services, CAMBA serves more than 70,000 New Yorkers annually at approximately 100 locations throughout the city. For nearly 50 years, CAMBA has combined the scale and expertise of a leading human-services organization with deep roots in the communities we serve.

About the Division

CAMBA’s Development & Communications division is a nine-person integrated operation encompassing institutional and individual fundraising, marketing and communications. The Director of Marketing leads the two-person Marketing unit and works directly with the Chief Development & Communications Officer. Collaboration is central to how we work, and the Director is expected to bring ideas, ask good questions, identify opportunities and offer a point of view. Once direction is established, the Director takes ownership of moving the work from concept through execution.
